Web Resources
I have owned and operated several web sites on the internet. I guess I am a "Domain Name Junkie" - because, when I get an idea for a new domain name, my dogged determination to register it seems to go into overdrive and I can't let go until I have the domain name in my portfolio!
If only I had known then what I know now, I would have handled some of these domains quite differently.

For a while, I actively marketed one particular domain - I built links back to it, I added it in to search engines and directories. This was all with the idea that it would bring me enquiries for some web design and software. In the end, I got a reasonable amount of traffic, but no sales and I let the domain drop. In fact, I was so unconcerned by this particular domain that I didn't look at it again for quite a while.
When I came across the site again, I was shocked at what I found!
What I didn't realise was that I had built a potentially very valuable piece of internet real estate - where the traffic could be used for other internet business opportunities.
